COLLECTOR EVENT

A small group of collectors were invited to the Edwynn Houk Gallery, New York, where artist Sebastiaan Bremer shared insights into his practice, guiding them through the evolution of his career from early works made in the early 2000’s to unseen enigmatic portraits.

Bremer is a Dutch artist, living and working in NYC. He transforms existing found photographs (sometimes sourced from recognisable artists, other times personal family albums) through a careful process of enlargement and intricate hand painting on the print surface.
