A studio visit at Sebastião Salgado’s ‘Amazonas Images’ was organised for a group of impact leaders working in reforestation, traceability and healthcare provision in developing countries. It was meaningful to bring together these two worlds of photography and sustainability.

Sebastião not only shared his archive and current projects, but also gave insights into his photographic career and process. Alongside this he spoke of his humanitarian work as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and the creation of Instituto Terra – the ecological centre he founded with his wife Lélia, which is dedicated to reforestation in their Brazilian homeland.
