Her Gaze: Sixty years of women in Photography
LÉVY GORVY WITH RUMBLER
GUIDED EXHIBITION TOUR
A group of photo enthusiasts and collectors joined this gallery tour of ‘Her Gaze: 60 Years of Women in Photography’. Inspired by the life of Anita Neugebauer-Langer, a champion of female photographers who opened her own gallery in Basel in 1976, a first for women in Switzerland. She was a true pioneer of the medium.
The tour, led by Diana, Andreas Rumbler and Nadine Krisemer, delved into modernist photographs from the 1920s such as Germaine Krull, through to contemporary avant-garde positions like Olga Chernysheva, bringing to light the significance of the individual artists in the exhibition.

“Germaine Krull's work needs to be contextualised so that people realise just how radical the work in Métal was.”
